Club Meeting Minutes


Tuesday, February 6, 2007

Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm.

I. Introductions
a. Club members introduced themselves to one another

II. Club Agenda
a. Discussion on what we would like to do as a club
b. Projects we would like to work on as a club
c. Events we would like to attend
d. Programs/Speakers we could host at out meetings
e. Club fund raisers
f. Off-campus field trips

III. Club Officers
Listed below are the club officer positions that the club will be voting on. Club members that would like to apply to be a club officer are encouraged to fill out the “Officer’s Application” (attached to this email) and return to Greg Walters, Multimedia Coordinator by February 23, 2007 for eligibility and voting.

a. The group discussed what we would like to have on our club website. More development will come once club is established.

VI. Club Logo Design Contest
Our club needs a logo! Something that expresses what we do and who we are. No more than two colors. Something that will look good on our website, t-shirts, stickers, banners, etc. Submissions should be sent to Greg Walters, Multimedia Coordinator by email at: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it before February 23, 2007. Voting will take place at the club meeting following. Winner of the logo design contest will receive a $25 prize.

VII. Club Events
a. Host Go To And Play events in the auditorium
b. Tutorials- in lab (speakers or students)
c. Design Slam- in lab
d. 48 hr. movie shoot – DIY
e. Group Projects
f. Project Critiques (students)
g. Portland Community Public Access production (student commercial)

• Studio visits – Picture This tour

VIII. Club Meetings
a. The club discussed and decided to hold club meetings every first and third Tuesday of every month from 6pm-8pm in the multimedia lab, MAHB 219, (excluding holidays). Meetings held off-site or at industry events will be announced at meetings and by email to club members.
b. Open lab time will be available from 8pm-9pm in MAHB 219 for students interested in working on projects and networking.

Meet adjourned at 7:55 pm.
The next Multimedia Club meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, 2007 from 6pm-8pm in MAHB 219. See you there!
