Article I ~ Organization Name and Acronym

Portland Community College Multimedia Club (PCCMMC)

Article II ~ Purpose

The PCCMMC is a club that focuses on learning about and creating multimedia projects. Multimedia projects in this case include animation, video, text, audio, graphics, interactive components, etc. The members of this group will learn about all of the processes involved in creating a multimedia project. Members who are willing to take their involvement a step further will work together to create finished multimedia projects. There will also be executive positions available for members who are interested in helping to keep the club in functioning order. PCCMMC has several areas in which members can become involved.
PCCMMC does not charge dues at the current time. It should be noted that certain events or field trips may require admission fees. Donations will be graciously accepted, and should be given to the club treasurer, chairperson or advisor.

Article VI ~ Officers

President/Chairperson
1. Sets agenda and presides over meetings.
2. Attends ASPCC meetings.

Events coordinator
1. Plans events and meetings.
2. Coordinates food and beverage service.
3. Finds people to speak at events.

Secretary
1. Records a brief synopsis of happenings at meetings.
2. Posts results on web site.
3. Places items on the agenda.
4. Tracks committees and what they are doing.

Treasurer
1. Collects donations and keeps track of available funds.
2. Updates fiscal spreadsheet to be posted on PCCMMC website.

Article VII ~ Executive Committees

The PCCMMC is not to be a highly political club. The clubs chairperson and advisor are empowered to make changes as needed, and have final say on all important club matters.

Article VIII ~ Meetings

Meetings will be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Special events and field trips will be posted to the clubs web site, and will be emailed to members as details become available. In the event of an event cancellation this information will also appear on the web site, and be emailed to club members.

Article IX ~ Elections/Selection Process for Leadership

All executive positions are on a voluntary basis. The club chairperson is to be selected by the club advisor, and all other positions will be voted for. Upon volunteering for a position club members will be asked to explain to the group why they think they are a good choice for a given position. If a member is found to be ineffective in a position the club advisor retains the right to revoke that position. It is also requested of executive members that they communicate any problems they may have fulfilling their role on the executive committee to the club advisor and chairperson.

If any part of this constitution is found in need of change it will be discussed at a club meeting, and be voted on by the members of the PCCMMC. It is noted that the club chairperson and advisor have veto power in case they feel a change is not in the better interest of the club.
